Becomming Stronger

Having a child young can be hard, I didn't know what was going on most of the time and all I knew is that I was sick of everyone trying to make decisions for my life. I felt like I had no choices, I was young and conflicted I felt as if everyone were treating me like a child................... and I was, a 13 year old child who had to make grown up decisions. Everyone was so busy arguing and manipulating my decisions that they forgot about what I might want, and only focused on what they wanted.................. and that's when Ellen Roseman stepped in to advocate for ME.

Ellen  began putting everything in perspective for my family and me, and began having us focus on what was really important. She was always there to remind us that this is about no one except me, and my child and what would be most beneficial to us. ( She also respectfully worked with my son’s birthfather treating him with dignity and respect. )

Ellen has helped guide me, and to help me always understand that ultimately hard decisions can only be made by the person doing the deciding. We have grown close, and she has taught me many things that I have carried on into other aspects of my life. By continuing to guide me,  she  helped to make me a stronger person, and I believe she has contributed much to the person I am today............. and who I will continue to be in the future. I am in college now and doing well in my life.   My very very open adoption has been wonderful over time!
