![]() Faith in a Dream by Connie Wilder Willis and Erik Willis I’ll never forget the moment – after 6 years of infertility, 7 failed IVF cycles and every emotional high and low that accompanied our journey – I knew I was in the right place at my first meeting at Ellen’s house. Our first meeting included a “Gratitude Circle”. It was a candle-lit circle with every attendee articulating something for which they were grateful. I was grateful for so much and yet, feeling extremely beat up from our brutal infertility journey. I still had hope in my heart for our family, yet so much sadness for our significant losses. That little circle in Ellen’s living room was an enormous step forward in the realization of our dream of having a family. Five and a half months following that meeting we were matched with our birthmom. Two and a half months later we were in the delivery room to witness the birth of our twins. As an adoptive mom of 3-year old, boy/girl twins adopted at birth, the very best advice I can offer you concerning the adoption journey is contact Ellen Roseman at Cooperative Adoption Consulting. www.coopadopt.com.
